This is my third year incorporating LEGO Education kits in my classroom, and the impact I've seen continues to provide a wide range of benefits to my 4th grade students.
A few key aspects that are noticeable from incorporating LEGO Education kits include collaboration and communication skills among classmates. The LEGO activities involve group work. My students are practicing teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication when utilizing the kits. These social skills are vital for success both inside and outside the classroom. Another aspect that I notice in my students is their creativity and their innovative thinking. The LEGO kits foster creativity by allowing them to design and build anything they can imagine! This encourages out-of-the-box thinking, which is a very important skill to have.
The LEGO Education kits have provided an engaging, multi-sensory approach to learning that supports both academic and social development, making them a valuable tool in my classroom. The excitement on my students' faces when I say “LEGO time” fills me with gratitude for the opportunity to bring LEGO Education kits into my classroom.
